Lucky & Norman: Saying Goodbye Is Bittersweet

This fantastic book was inspired by a family vacation! It's about two brothers, Sam and Eli, who spend days trying to earn the trust of two rescue donkeys, Lucky and Norman. Just whenthe animals finally warm up, the boys' vacation ends, and they have to leave their new friends, but they try to focus on their fond memories.

Owl by Myself

If anyone in your house is in the "I CAN DO IT MYSELF!" phase, you will really relate to this cute book. From the amazing illustrator behind "The Bad Seed", we loved reading about little Owl who is wanting to prove he is big enough to handle everything all on his own. From tying shoes to trying out big-kid chores, Owl tries his darndest until he finds something that is a little too much for him, which is okay, cuz he learns that asking for help is pretty great, too.

The Path

I love this beautifully aware story which follows a wide range of neighbors as they travel along a shared trail. Every little detail along the way into an adventure, from watching seasonal changes to discovering tiny creaturres and sharing quiet moments together. Qin Leng’s lovely watercolor-and-ink illustrations bring so much charm and detail to every single page. I appreciate the reminder to put down all the hurry, go outside, and notice all of the everyday magic right under our feet.
